Pax Christi International signs onto civil society letter demanding continued US support to conflict resolution in Yemen | Pax Christi: On 1 June, Pax Christi International co-signed a civil society letter addressed to US Secretary of State John Kerry and USAID Acting Administrator Alfonso Lenhardt, demanding continued US support to conflict resolution in Yemen. Signatories see the recent announcement of the suspension of USAID assistance for conflict prevention and good governance in Yemen, without any provision to continue support to civilian-led conflict management efforts, as detrimental to a peaceful, just, and democratic solution to the current crisis in the country.
